What is Human-Centred Design?

Human-centred design (HCD) is an approach to problem-solving that puts real people at the centre of the development process, enabling the creation of products and services that prioritize the needs, preferences, and behaviours of the end users. It places people at the centre of the design process. Customer-centricity lives here.

What is Design Thinking?

It is a mindset and systematic approach to complex problem solving and innovation that finds the intersectionality of desirability, feasibility, and viability to create maximum impact.

Leading author on strategy and former Dean of Rothman School of Management at U of T, Roger Martin describes design thinking as the ‘single biggest competitive advantage’, and cites that it is fundamental to strategy formulation.
